Bret, you’re just the best. I look for and forward to your writing every day. You give me a lifeline in the madness. Justice syncopated for Justin. Props brother, I appreciate you. Keep on with the keepin on. Nuf’ said!
Bret, One of the few benefits of our planet's swollen population is the existence of niches. Jazz is a tiny niche. But it's alive! I don't have any jazz buddies, No one in my area speaks jazz. But the online jazz world is loaded with content and lessons. I study music. Youtube provides me with mentors. 1400? You KNOW how long I've worked and I can only dream of 1400 devoted fans. I continue to do what I do: write, sing and play. For a man of 77 i'm cookin'! I consider my obscurity as a byproduct of my creative depth.
Your writing has blossomed beautifully/and rhythmically. Great admiration for your writing prowess and reinvention, truly. As musicians always try to find their voice, you’ve found yours.
I practice every day — drums, two sets in my living room. I just sit there for a few minutes, you know, almost like, “Whatcha gonna show me today?” I don’t want to play the same stuff. It’s just the way my mind works. I hate it if I keep playing what I know. Show me something I don’t know. I want something different.

Yes, may it swing in unison, indeed.
Still can't bring myself to use AI. Vanity, I suppose. My brain is lazy enough after tick tocking half my life way. Call me a luddite!

YES, This is excellent I have been enjoying your writing. I was also an early sub to Jazz Video Guy!
Bravo! I for one am enjoying your rebirth and new digital identity immensely! Re-creation is the name of the game and you are a MASTER! 👍🏻😘❤️
Lo these many years I thought it was "look Ma, no hands." Thank you for reframing so often, so generously, and so well.
Just keep throwin' coal on the fire, man. You be you, 'cause no one else can.
Your in your prime! Doing the best work of your life, the stories are riveting and linger in my heart and mind.
