although not totally sure), and the sessions he produced. I didn't either know or remember about the NY Rangers connection and hockey as I am a huge hockey fan as well as a jazz fan so that was amazing to see and hear about. Thanks so much.
Columbia Grammar had no archives of the student paper for that time when I inquired... I also failed in attempts to find his college jazz writings from his time in Missouri. But I'm still slowly sorting out archives, so who knows what might appear one day.

Has anybody unearthed Ira's 1946 student review of Dizzy Gillespie band? I would love to read that!

Ed Beach was the only person that I talked to who had seen that band at that time and at that club.
