As it turns out 2016 wasn't an aberration, 2020 was. America wants this. The misogyny, the racism, the hatred. Keep an eye on your neighbors... they're are NOT what they seem.

Summing up I offer this:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”

Thank you Bret. Not sure where to go next, but we’ll work together to find a way…… I’m sure.

Goodbye legacy media. Like Bret said, they sane-washed Trump in favor of ratings and money.

Very disappointed. I had hope that liberal views do not control you to the extent you seem justified in reigning over 50 percent of America. You do realize that is what you are doing right? I am sorry that you are led to portray such a pompous persona. It doesn't seem to fit within the realm of art and love of man. Best to you in the land down under I will be unsubscribing from your publication.

I live in NY City. No Republican runs anything. The speed and red light cameras are everywhere, and very reminiscent of the picture you posted. I'm sorry, but while Trump leaves a ton to be desired, he has surrounded himself, this time, with a diverse group of people, all of whom advocate for reining in government, and banning censorship, supporting freedom of speech and are anti war. That Democrats are so un-self aware in the face of their overbearing zeal to censor, cancel and de-platform anyone with a different opinion, is breathtaking. This lack of self awareness will only ensure that Democrats will not be running the country again any time soon. Forget about Trump. He's not the problem. He's a symptom. A large majority, including the popular vote, have spoken resoundingly that the Democrats have lost their way on the working class, war, free speech, parental rights, the use of the judicial system and a whole host of other things. We're stuck with Trump now precisely because of the way the Democrat party has partnered with the elites, abandoned working people and lost their way. I hope that after the dust settles, Democrats will get back to their core values and roots.

Totally agree. I'm not sure the Democrat party can survive in its present form.

And hopefully not the Republican party either. Both are corrupt and work for the Oligarchs. The difference is that the populists have moved over to the Republican side and make up the rank and file. Possibly, perhaps....they may demand to be heard. Trumps mandate is to dismantle the deep state (formerly known as Drain The Swamp). Anything less than would be a total fail. Were in for an interesting 4 years. But if all the Democrats have after all of this is - Orange Man Bad. They will not survive. Love you Bret. Hang in there and keep swingin'.

In a crisis like this, solidarity in human fellowship can be very helpful as people choose to resist en masse the acid of division. Being different should not threaten any person. I guess one can go to far, socially speaking. Those who support a transgender boy wanting to play on a girls' team should respect those who fear they would overpower their new peers and gain honors with an unfair advantage. The TV ads told us how obnoxious that was. But surely there are other ways trans people can flourish and be welcomed by others. As for political views, there are arts of communication which can prevent hostile exchanges. Respect has to start on the underdog's side, for prudence's sake. Assert common ground, since we live in a democracy in which all people are assumed equal under law. I hope.
