I seize this opportunity to ask if you knew, met or made friends with the enigmatic Phil Schaap. I'm asking because I just read a fantastic evocation of him in the last and very interesting book by David Remnick entitled "Holding the Note" (I sent you a copy of the book via email, in case it is of interest to you). Thanks, Tulio. I met Phil a couple of times over the years and of course, was a big fan of his weekday Charlie Parker morning program. Phil made some wonderful contributions to this music and what an encyclopedic knowledge of everything relating to Jazz. He is missed.
